I live and work in Tokyo, Japan. I am independent reseacher and my main interest is new algorithms development for image processing, especially for compression (both lossless and lossy). Although I have been living in Japan for a long time I still miss my native country where I grew up – Ukraine. I visit home every year during Christmas holidays.
My fields of professional interest are: image processing (compression, interpolation, restoration), digital signal processing, numerical analysis, artificial intelligence, data clustering, pattern recognition (especially face and characters recognition), data compression, compiler design, applied approximation theory, global optimization, parallel and distributed computing, symbolic computations, CAS, embedded systems.
My hobbies are: photography, swimming (especially freestyle), inline skating, mount biking.
